To assure a quick and accurate service, we provide an exciting palette of standard and special effects colors. In an attempt to meet every customer’s expectations we also offer tailor-made solutions, applicable in a large spectrum of industries from injection moulding and agricultural, over flexible packaging and extrusion to blow moulding and rigid packaging. Our dedicated sales force and technical service teams, along with our regulatory specialists, will assist you to achieve your regulatory compliance goals.
   Characteristics

Masterbatches are available in a wide range of carrier resins: PE, PP, PS, ABS and more.
Color masterbatches can be used as standalone products or in combination with a variety of performance-enhancing additives designed for multiple polymers. Examples of common additives include: Antioxidants, UV stabilizers, Flame retardants, Slip agents, Antiblocking Agents, Antistatic agents, Optical brighteners, Nucleating agents, Polymer Processing Aid and more.
- The shades vary from transparent to covering.
- The counter typing of colours can be made using standard references such as Pantone, RAL and NCS. For more exacting clients a simple physical sample as reference is sufficient.
- Applicable in a large spectrum of industries from injection moulding and agricultural, over flexible packaging and extrusion to blow moulding and rigid packaging.
- Our formulations are individually optimized for maximum performance with your resin and most importantly, they are shipped in 5 working days or less.

 Standard Colors

Corbi Polymer presents a standard colour range with a variety of colors to choose from. These versatile colors, which are always in stock, are immediately available. Therefore we can deliver samples in small or large quantities at short notice. All standard colors can be used in a number of industries. Masterbatches are available in different types of polymers like polyethylene, polypropylene, polystyrene and special engineered resins.

 Special Effect Colors

Corbi Polymer Company’s colorists know and understand the many variables that affect the way color is perceived in plastic application. We offer a wide range of special effect colors as metallic, pearlescent, fluorescents, transparent and more for various applications including blow moulding and injection moulding. In this industry, which requires specific know-how, we cooperate closely with marketing departments to ensure products that appeal to customers.

 Tailor-Made Colors

In addition to our standard and special effects colour range, our specialty is to provide custom solutions. We constantly invest in research and innovation to keep up with the customer’s specifications. We can work with Pantone color numbers, paper swatches, paint chips, metal plaques, pieces of fabric, or even a rough description of the desired color. Using advanced spectrophotometers our color laboratories help ensure precise color matching and quality assurance. Custom colorants are available for injection molding, blow molding, sheet extrusion, profile extrusion, rotational molding, and calendared film. Therefore we gladly accept the challenge to match your unique colour and fulfil the unthinkable. When preparing a custom color match Corbi Polymer Company will ask you to supply information regarding the following issues:

flashEnd Use Application: What type of application the color is intended for and how it is used aids colorists it determining what pigments are appropriate and which will result in the best match and remain consistent during environmental exposure.

flashBase Resin System & Specific Grade: Some pigments are not compatible with all polymers and certain grades utilize processing parameters that can degrade many pigments.

flashProcessing Method: Knowing whether injection, blow, compression, or rotational molding or profile, sheet, film, or fiber extrusion will be deployed helps us determine if appropriate dispersion will occur.

flashType of Color Target: Knowledge of the material or parameters the color target is native to can boost our colorists’ confidence a quality match can be achieved.

flashMatch Type: Whether an exact match, match & make, or straight shot is expected can impact what pigments or dyes are utilized to help control coloring costs.

flashOpacity: If the material needs to maintain transparency, translucency, or become opaque is an important factor in meeting a match criteria with many resin systems.

flashPart ThicknessHow thick a part will be at various locations and still need to maintain the desired opacity, measurements can be provided in inches or millimeters.

flashAdditional PropertiesIf the color will be used in conjunction with reinforcement/fillers, UV stabilizers, anti-stats, flame retardants, antimicrobial additives, or require laser markability may impact the ability to obtain certain colors.

flashVisual StandardsIf the application has cosmetic attributes, is an internal part, or simply requires color for identification purposes allows colorants to be chosen that maintain cost controls.

flashEvaluation Light Source: Quality color matches can appear different when viewed under different lighting conditions, common sources for evaluation color are: D65 (artificial daylight), CWF (fluorescent), tungsten (incandescent), and UL2000.

flashSpectrophotometer: Calibration of different brands and models of color measuring equipment varies, common brands are: Gretag Mcbeth, Datacolor, ACS, Minolta, or XRite; typically models are either desktop or handheld units.

flashInstrumental Evaluation: If a color is going to me measured using instrumentation a numerical tolerance must be specified as the acceptable margin of error.

flashDelta E: If Delta E is used to determine match accuracy whether the CIE-LAB or CMC scale will be used must be known.

flashTexture: Surface types can influence a match’s perceived successfulness, common textures that need to be identified include: glossy, matte, textured, moldtek, or VDI.

flashDisposition: If a colored part stands by itself, mates with parts made from the same or other materials—which may also be colored—or is attached to a substrate can impact the perception of a colors precision.
